Liberty Lifestyle, the newly formed lifestyle arm of Liberty Shoes, is planning to sell 100,000 bottles of perfumes in the next 12 months. The company has launched 12 fragrances for both men and women, marking its entry into the perfumes category.
Adesh Kumar Gupta, CEO of Liberty Shoes & Liberty Lifestyle, said, "Perfume is just the beginning. We will expand our product portfolio by the end of the next year. In the next 12 months, we aim to sell close to 100,000 bottles if perfumes."
Initially, the company will sell its products on e-commerce websites such as Amazon, Flipkart, Myntra, Nykaa and Purplle. The company will also sell the perfumes through its own website libertylifestyle.co.in.
As part of the expansion plans, the perfumes will also be available in large format stores like Pantaloons, Lifestyle and Shoppers Stop.
"Liberty Lifestyle will also open a couple of kiosk model stores in a months’ time to sell its products in the malls. As the product portfolio increases, we will start rolling out exclusive stores for Liberty Lifestyle," Gupta stated.
Phillippine Courtiere, Perfumer at Firmenich, the company which has helped Liberty Lifestyle with the new range, said, "We've integrated varied ingredients to create this new range. We have blended spices, white flowers, oudhs with coffee, gourmet notes and fruity tones to project the right mood of the brand and bring out the true Indian essence with a contemporary mix."
