TAKE Solutions has agreed to buy two US-based companies operating in the life sciences space for a total consideration of $72 million.
The Chennai-based company is acquiring health research firm KAI Research for $27 million and DataCeutics, clinical research and functional service provider, for $45 million, both in cash.
Kai's acquisition will strengthen TAKE Solutions' therapeutic expertise in mental health, musculoskeletal diseases, neurology, infectious diseases, oncology and medical devices. While the acquisition of DataCeutics will strengthen the company's data science capabilities and increase its presence in the US.
TAKE Solutions said, "The company (KAI) has some differentiated offerings by way of patient registries and e-clinical solutions. KAI strengthens our therapeutic expertise, and offerings on mental health, musculoskeletal diseases, infectious diseases, oncology and medical devices. KAI has long-standing relationships with clinical sites and trusted network of service providers."
The acquisition of KAI by TAKE Solutions will be completed by the end of this month and that of DataCeutics by the end of February.
