Zomato Targets $20-25 Mn Revenue Via Zomato Gold

Online delivery and food ordering site Zomato is targeting high on its subscription based programme Zomato Gold.

Gurgaon-based startup is aiming revenue of $20-25 million through Zomato Gold by the end of 2019.

 “Zomato Gold is on the path of hitting the milestone of 1 million users globally by the end of this month,” shared Gaurav Gupta, COO, Zomato.

In his statement it also highlighted the growing importance of the premium product to the online delivery and restaurant discovery and bookings platform’s topline.

Zomato Gold was launched in 2016 in Portugal and in the UAE, before its launch in India in November, 2017.

The online delivery site has now crossed the milestone of having 800,000 paying subscribers in India, the release added.

Recently, Zomato touched a new milestone- 10,000 restaurants have Zomato’s Food Hygiene Rating, a figure that translates to over 80% of the volume for its online ordering business.

Zomato is also peddling the future towards sustainable mobility, by partnering with Mobycy, e-HIRAN, TNT, Yulu and Zoomcar’s PEDL to provide e-cycles to aspiring delivery executives.

It is introducing bicycle both mechanical and electric into its last mile delivery fleet.
