Wow! Momo on the path of opening 50 outlets in Calcutta and 100 across the country

Kolkata, also known as the city of joy, and famous for its mouthwatering delicacies, has added another food palate on the food aficionados’ platter. Wow! Momo a Kolkata-based startup has opened five outlets in five metro stations of the city to provide an addition food bud to the daily commuters. In the past one month, Kalighat, Mahanayak Uttam Kumar (Tollygunge), Netaji (Kudghat), Masterda Surya Sen (Bansdroni) and Kavi Nazrul (Garia) metro stations have been equipped with new Wow! Momo Kiosks.

Walking on the same line, the company plans to further install its outlets in Rabindra Sarobar, Esplanade, Central and Shyambazar metro stations by the end of July. This move is considered as a part of company’s expansion plan as it looks to clock another 50 outlets in Kolkata and around 100 across the length and breadth of the country in next few years.

Explaining about the company’s plan, Sagar Daryani, Co-Founder, Wow! Momo informed that company is aware of the huge number of daily commuters in Metro. Early last year, Wow! Momo surveyed and realised that a great opportunity was waiting. Company tweaked its format into an express cart and approached the Metro authorities, who were very supportive.

As per the recent plans, Wow! Momo will be operating from 12 kiosks installed in nine metro stations, with Central and Kavi Nazrul getting two outlets each. The outlets are stationed opposite the ticket counters, with the exception of Tollygunge where it is located outside the station.
