Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide Inc which owns brands like Westin, Le Meridien, Sheraton, Aloft, Four Points by Sheraton and The Luxury Collection in partnership with ITC Hotels is planning to expand its business to 100 hotels in India by 2015. 

The group is also planning to introduce two more brands, St Regis and W into the Indian market next year.

Speaking on the expansion plan, Dilip Puri, MD, India and Regional VP South Asia, Starwood Starwood Hotels & Resorts, said, “We already have 40 hotels across the country which are managed and franchised by Starwood and have signed deals for 32 new hotels which are currently under development. We will have 100 hotels and eight of the nine Starwood global brands in India by December 2015.”

Targeting cities for the expansion includes Vishakapatnam, Coimbatore, Kochi, DehraDun, Jaipur, Ahmedabad and Chandigarh over the next few years.
