Indian railways plans to launch chic urban restaurants that will serve mouthwatering delicacies such as, railway mutton curry, Madras Club qorma, mulligatawny soup, and much more.
R N Kalita, Director, Catering Services, IRCTC, said, “Apart from nostalgic gourmet food, the restaurants will also deliver an authentic railway dining experience including vintage memorabilia, restored steam engines and the works. We are in the process of finalizing a few things.”
IRCTC also plans to tap the Indian food services market pegged at Rs 76,000 crore which is growing at a CAGR of 11 percent.
