Oxigen Wallet ties up with CCD

Oxigen Wallet, the mobile payment and transfer gateway, has partnered with Cafe Coffee Day (CCD) for introducing payments through the wallet at CCD outlets across the country, reports ET.

Presently, Cafe Coffee day has its presence in more than 1,400 locations across India.
Under this association, users can pay at Cafe Coffee Outlets using their Oxigen Wallet and also avail a special promotional offer of 'Buy 1 get 1' on beverages.

Payment and offer redemptions can be done through the Oxigen wallet mobile app that is available on Google Play Store (Android), iTunes or Windows App Store.

This is the first offline payment acceptance tie up for Oxigen Wallet which is focusing on building a strong merchant ecosystem for payments both online as well as offline.

"India's youth is adopting new services and technologies at a rapid pace and we believe that such offline associations for payment acceptance will further enhance adoption for our Wallet," said Ankur Saxena, CEO, Oxigen Wallet.

"We will focus on getting more merchants on board in the near future," he added.

Oxigen Wallet also enables a person to send money to any mobile number or bank account in India. Over 3 million people are doing over 1 lakh transactions a day using Oxigen Wallet, the company stated.

The Wallet is accepted at more than 3,000 merchant locations, including Cafe Coffee Day outlets, and over 2,000 online sites such as EBay, it said.
