McDonald's adds a Classic Twist to its menu

The launch of these new burgers during the festive season, is being communicated through a campaign called \'Dare to Choose\' which invites the consumers to make a choice of opting to go with traditional favourites.

The McVeggie and McChicken have built an almost cult-like following ever since McDonald’s opened in India in 1996. McDonald’s India with the launch of its new ‘Classic with a Twist’ (CWT) burgers dares the loyal fans and customers to choose from its all time favorite traditional classics or experiment with their taste buds with new exciting bold flavour that add a zingy twist to classic favourites.

This new limited time offer will see products such as McVeggie Twist & McChicken Twist available across all restaurants from 1st October 30th November 2014.

The CWT burgers are prepared with the finest of ingredients re-creating the magic of the golden era with a new remix.

The crispy McVeggie and McChicken patty is now available with crispy fresh lettuce, crunchy onions, slices of tomato and dollops of cheese & onion sauce topped with oregano seasoning and a corn meal dusted bun.

The marketing campaign will take a 360 degree multi-channel approach and will be promoted across various platforms including TV, print, radio and outdoor medium.

The TVC ‘Dare to Choose’ has been created in 5 languages – English, Kannada, Tamil, Telegu and Bengali for the consumers to break the clutter and create a desire to try. The campaign will be heavily promoted on the digital platform with activations on social media and mobile.

“As a leading burger brand, McDonald’s is known for being innovative, and our ability to amalgamate the classics with bold new flavour is just another example of this. After almost four - five months of product development process including quality assurance testing and many consumer trials, we created these outstanding products to celebrate with our customers the unique McDonald’s Food experience,”, said, Kedar Teny, Director – Marketing & Digital.

These new ‘Classic with a Twist’ burgers are available for two months across all McDonald’s restaurants in India. The price of McVeggie Twist burger is Rs 81. The price of a medium McVeggie Twist value meal (which consists of medium fries and coke) is Rs140. The price of McChicken Twist burger is Rs 93 and a medium value meal is Rs 150.All the prices are inclusive of taxes in West & South India.
