Ginger group enters Andhra Pradesh; opens first hotel in Visakhapatnam

Ginger Hotels, a part of Roots Corporation - a subsidiary of The Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL), has opened its first hotel in Visakhapatnam.

The 72-room Ginger Hotel was inaugurated in the presence of Ravi Pillai, Head of Operations, Roots Corporation Limited, as reported by Hindu BusinessLine.

“Andhra Pradesh represents one of the country’s fastest growing economies, and we are confident that Ginger Hotels will be able to cater to the increased tourism needs in the State. Our strong budget hotel model of a blend of comfort and efficiency with excellent value will be an attractive proposition for business and leisure travellers alike,” PK Mohankumar, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Roots Corporation Limited to Hindu BusinessLine.

With this launch, the hotel has now 31 properties in its portfolio. The hotel has priced its rooms in Vizag in between Rs 2,499 to Rs 2,999 with an introductory offer of Rs 2,199.

The hotel is also designed keeping in mind the changing needs of travellers.
