Floating restaurant Malwa Queen now operational at Regional Park, Indore

Malwa Queen the floating restaurant at Regional Park, Indore was inaugurated by Lok Sabha speaker Sumitra Mahajan on Sunday, 17th of August.

This will be the second floating restaurant in Madhya Pradesh.

Malwa Queen has been jointly developed by Indore Municipal Corporation (IMC) and Madhya Pradesh State Tourism Development Corporation (MPSTDC).

Speaking at the inauguration, MN Jamali, General Manager, MPSTDC, said, “The cruise boat cum floating restaurant at Regional Park will have air-conditioned cabins, comfortable furniture and fixtures, DJ orchestra team, dance floor and a wide variety of cuisines to choose from.”

The boat will be about 22 feet long, and is made of high grade fibre reinforced plastic as per the specifications of the MPTDC.

At the same time it will have a capacity of around 80 passengers along with a boat crew of 15.

It will also have an air-conditioned section on the lower deck along with pantry, store, kitchen and two toilets.

The upper deck will be a viewers' deck with semi-foldable canopy and will serve as open air restaurant with a seating capacity of 40.
