One of the biggest foodie hubs in the city.
A restaurant located at Hauz Khas Village caught fire on Friday. According to the locals the whole area is vulnerable to fire.
Hauz Khas Village has 44 eateries of which only 36 have health trade licences and just two have a 'No Objection Certificate' from Delhi Fire Services. According to the fire officials, “Fire tenders cannot enter most lanes. In case of a fire emergency, it is difficult to reach the spot as the lanes are extremely narrow. Most restaurants do not have fire safety equipment. There are no emergency exits.”
Though restaurant owners said that, "For them, customer safety is very important. They have taken all necessary approvals and installed fire safety equipment.”
