DS Group adds candy in its confectionery biz

The group is rapidly growing over the last five years and has reported a turnover of more than Rs 4800 crores in last fiscal year.

Dharampal Satyapal Group (DS Group) which is continuously expanding its product portfolio during last few years has included candy in its confectionery segment.

The group has launched Pass Pass ‘Pulse’ in Jaipur. Pulse, Kachcha Aam flavoured, is a new powder filled candy in the segment giving it a requisite differentiation of flavour.

The group has also launched dairy products in the North East with the launch of 'Ksheer Dairy Whitener' in January.

"Hard boiled candies are growing at the rate of 9 per cent with a total market size Rs 1,800 crore, therefore the group decided to enter the segment," said Shashank Surana, Senior General Manager - New Product Development, DS Group.

The initial phase of the launch will be supported extensively with activities in Rajasthan like in-shop display, exclusive merchandise promotion and focussed sampling through various consumers.

DS group is also planning to launch more innovative flavours in near future.

Catch Spices, Catch Spring water, Catch flavoured water, Chingles-the mini chewing gums, Piyoz, Ksheer, Dairymax, Tulsi, Pass Pass, Rajnigandha, Tansen, Tulsi Saada, Rajnigandha Pearls, The Manu Maharani, Namah and Unitex are some of the leading brands the Group proudly shelters today.
