Chilis to open 12 restaurants in South and Western India

Chili’s, the Tex Mex Cuisine restaurant which entered India in 2006, is planning to open 12 new restaurants by 2016.

TVS Capital, which runs the outlet in Westerns and Southern region, is operating over eight restaurants in South and West i.e. three in Bengaluru, two in Bombay, two in Hyderabad and one in Pune.

“The Chili’s business has grown three fold in sales over the past two years through a mix of strong same store growth and opening of three new stores,” shared Ashish Saxena, CEO and Executive Director.

At present, Chili’s is growing at a growth rate of 15-30 per cent four same store sales.

“We have seen great growth in the last couple of years, when we put separate management team to focus on this brand and what we see today that the customers love our brand, casual dining and the whole aspect of having no pretence in having good meal” added Saxena.

The group is also looking to open six more outlets in North East and few more to come in the coming years.
