The Wall (Pan Asian Restaurant) and 6 Ballygunge Place of Savourites Hospitality, is planning for expansion in the country by opening 15 restaurants in the next two years.

Speaking on the expansion plans, Mr. S Ramani, Founder-Director & Service enhancer, Savourites, said, “Bengali cuisine, with its delicacy, detailing and diversity, has the potential to come up as India’s national cuisine. And that’s exactly what our objective is. We are looking at eight-nine restaurants in metros and the remaining ones on Tier-II, Tier-III locations, like Siliguri, Burdwan, Guwahati and Rourkella, to name a few.” The company, which at present runs five fine dining restaurants – four in Kolkata and one in Bangalore – has almost finalised its next destination as Delhi and Mumbai.

He further adds, “6 Ballygunge place – the chain Bengali restaurant – is going to places, like Manhattan in New York and London, becoming India’s first retail outlet which is getting its trademark registered as an address.”

To backup its expansion plans, the company is also preparing its maiden IPO over the next two years.
