Opens eight distribution centres in India.

Amira Foods expands footprints

Amira Nature Foods Ltd, one of India’s global branded rice providers has opened eight distribution centres in India to capitalise on the extensive growth opportunities across both traditional and modern retail locations. The distribution centres were opened in major cities and towns including, Hyderabad, Bangalore, Kolkata, Ahmedabad, Gurgaon, Delhi, Zirakhpur, Punjab and Surajpur, Uttar Pradesh.

The company also plans to expand its centres by opening about 15 centres by the end of 2015.

Commenting on the same, Karan A Chanana, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Amira Nature Foods Ltd, said, "Our team continues to execute aggressively Amira's distribution footprint in India as we look to further benefit from India's growing middle class and their increasing desire for branded specialty rice.”
