Tamarind Global, an Indian tour and event management company, is planning to expand its tour business vertical both on the inbound as well as the outbound front.
On the inbound front, the company eyes expanding its source markets to entire Europe from the largely UK-focused procurement so far. While, on the outbound side, Tamarind Global will expand its horizon to more exclusive and off-beat destinations in the Indian Ocean, Europe and Africa.
Currently, the company is present in four verticals, including tours, weddings, events and corporate services. It is aiming to strengthen the market presence, market share and product offerings in all the four verticals in 2019.
Louis D'Souza, Director of Tamarind Global, said, "The trend of holding weddings overseas is gaining great momentum in India. People prefer to go overseas for their weddings, although we have some exotic wedding destinations within. The strategy is to double the number of weddings the company handles this year. We will be expanding our team to increase the number of weddings we handle."
"Tamarind has established a fair reputation in the corporate events space over the last couple of years. We will be strengthening our sales team pan-India to tap corporate events in a big way. We take care of the entire conceptualisation, designing, production and execution. We had done large as well as exclusive corporate events last year," D'Souza further stated.
