The former will have an investment of approximately Rs 3-4 crore per unit while the latter will have an approximate investment of Rs 1-2 crore. The master fee would be around Rs 45 lakhs for 10 units to be opened across India over a period of five years.”
Indian Fitness Industry is expected to be US$ 1.63 billion by 2016. India spends only US$ 0.65 per capita on fitness and is one of the lowest spends across the globe, which shows a tremendous opportunity to increase this spend. “There has been a tremendous rise in the India’s per capita income, discretionary spending, and urbanisation over the past few years. All of these combined point to only one direction that the Indian middle class wants to be fit and we want to be there to fulfill their aspirations,” added Kiely.
