India’s kids lifestyle brand Toonz Retail has planned to open 10 stores in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries by March next year. The brand has tied-up with Saudi Arabia-based Tariq Albassami Group for expanding in the Gulf nations.
The Albassami group will be the Master Franchise for the domestic kids’ retailer. The latter is also contemplating the possibility of expanding its operations in Africa.
Toonz Retail runs about 70+ stores across India. The company, which operates via the franchise mode, retails apparel, toys, prams, school stationery, hygiene and wellness products, accessories and cosmetics. It aims to satisfy all needs of kids up to 12 years of age.
It is aiming revenue of 100 crore in the next two years. The brand has two in-house apparel brands – WowMom (0-3 years kids) and Superyoung (3-12 years kids). The baby care brand also recently set up its online retail portal to target online customers.
