Thomas Cook (India) Ltd (TCIL), integrated travel and travel related financial service company, has announced the launch of five new Gold Circle Partner (franchise) outlets expanding its reach across the country. These franchise outlets cover a diversity of socio-economic markets including Mumbai, Ahmednagar, Gulbarga, Allahabad and Pondicherry.
On launch of the Gold Circle Partner outlets, Madhav Pai, Chief Operating Officer- Leisure Travel (Outbound), Thomas Cook (India) Ltd said: “In keeping with our vision to expand our distribution network across India, we have implemented our expansion strategy via opening five new Gold Circle Partner outlets in the first quarter of 2012. We see a large potential customer base in these cities and we want to provide them with an opportunity to interact with our well-informed staff and assist with their travel needs.”
These new openings will provide a wide array of services including holiday packages for individual and group tours for domestic and international destinations, ticketing for air and rail travel, cruise bookings, foreign exchange, travel insurance, visa and passport facilities.
It also plans expansion in the Tier I and Tier II cities of India with focus being on the emerging Tier III markets.
Reiterating its commitment to its trade partners, Thomas Cook (India) Ltd also recently concluded an eight city trade partner meet, ‘Engage, Educate & Enhance’, covering over 600 partners.
TCIL’s footprint currently extends to over 206 locations (including 25 airport counters) in 78 cities across India, Mauritius and Sri Lanka and is supported by a strong partner network of 112 Gold Circle Partners and 166 Preferred Sales Agents in over 100 cities pan India.
