Promart Retail India Pvt. Ltd., a discount retail chain and value format brand, launched its 60th store in Meerut with Bollywood diva Neha Dhupia. Spread across a total area of 2400 sq ft, this store has been tailored to meet the demands of the people in Meerut.

The store will offer an extensive range of apparel, accessories and footwear. The store has the right mix of national brands. The price range in the shoes segment is between Rs. 249 and Rs 3999 and in the apparel segment between Rs. 299 and Rs 4999 with a discount of 20- 60 percent. Ashish Garg, Promoter and Managing Director, Promart Retail India Pvt. Ltd. said: “We aim to bring the consumers an unmatched shopping experience which we have successfully achieved over the years. We have pumped in about Rs 25 crore only for UP as we believe there is a lot of potential here.”

Adding to this, Punit Agarwal, Promoter Chief Executive Officer, Promart Retail India Pvt. Ltd, said: “After launching 60 stores in India, we are all set to expand our footprints in UP by venturing in cities like Unnao, Hardoi, Firozabad, Rampur, Shahjahanpur and many more. We are seeing tremendous growth and a change in demand in tier II- tier VI cities and this store will reinforce our commitment of meeting the discerning needs of the shoppers in the city.”

Promart is a value format concept in lifestyle retailing, targeting smaller towns across India who have limited access to fashion. Launched by Provogue India, the chain was taken over by Apple Group of Companies and VEMB Lifestyle Pvt. Ltd in 2011. As part of the takeover, Apple Group and VEMB got control of the brand’s assets and intellectual property.
