Lite Bite Foods Pvt. Ltd is looking forward to launch a premium dining brand, American Tandoor by June 2015. The first American Tandoor outlet shall be opened in Washington DC. It currently operates 88 outlets through franchise route such as Subway and own brands like Punjab Grill, Asia Seven, Fresc Co, Zambar, Pino's, Street Foods of India, Bakers Street and Savor.
The restaurant chain will serve Indian cuisine in an American way. The first American Tandoor outlet will be a 250 seater spread over an area of 5,500 sq.ft in one of the biggest malls of Washington DC. Rohit Aggarwal, Director, Lite Bite Foods Pvt. Ltd says: “An investment of around Rs 10 crore has been made for this. Lite Bite Foods will invest over Rs 100 crore in the next two to three years through internal accruals togrow its existing portfolio of brands in India and overseas.”
The company is expected to close the current financial year with a turnover of Rs 160 crore with over 92 outlets running by March 2015. The company will also launch a new gastro pub brand – ‘The Local’ by the end of January. Lite Bite Foods commenced operations in the year 2001. Today, it is one of the largest and most dynamic F&B retail companies in the country.
