Franchise India and Zomato recently organised the Indian Restaurant Awards 2011, at Hotel Claridges in New Delhi. The objective behind the event was to commend the experts in the Indian Restaurant industry.

Masterchef Sanjeev Kapoor was the Chief Guest for the occasion. The awards also witnessed entertaining performance by Mansi Scott. There were 26 award categories spanning across different industry verticals. Using a fair and rigorous award process, following people were selected for various awards: Pizza Hut - Best Restaurant of the Year; Punjabi By Nature By AR Fisheries Pvt. Ltd - Best Indian Cuisine Restaurant of the Year; Subway - Best Quick Service Restaurant of the Year; Mainland China- Best Fine Dining Restaurant of the Year, Sanjeev Kapoor was conferred awarded Face of the Decade while Niren Chaudhry, YUM Restaurants (India) Pvt. Limited was awarded Face of the Year.
