Adidas, a German apparel and accessories brand appointed Damyant Singh as its new brand director in India. He shall report directly to Dave Thomas, Managing Director, Adidas Group, India. He will be responsible for strengthening and expanding the brand in India.
According to the directive, his tasks include implementation of insightful and enriching consumer experiences, building on the existing world-class athlete portfolio and seamless execution of brand campaigns to reach out to consumers across India. “Damyant possesses a sharp business acumen. He is well versed about Adidas brand in India, the Indian sports market and consumer taste,” remarks Thomas.
Prior to this new position, Damyant Singh was the Head of Category Marketing for Adidas in India. He became a part of Adidas sports marketing team in 2004. He actively helped in enhancing the brand presence by expanding the Athlete and Club portfolio and taking the initiative to deliver global communication campaigns via different media platforms.
Adidas is based in Herzogenaurach, Bavaria, Germany. The brand is known for its sports shoes, clothing and accessories. It also deals in products such as bags, watches, eyewear and other sports and clothing-related goods. It is one of the largest sportswear manufacturers all over Europe.
