With a target of having a strong presence in every pin code of India, the Pune based eyecare brand American Vision is seeking to develop its network. The brand is aiming to create a one stop ‘Eyewear & Eye Care Destination’ on a franchisee driven hyper-local platform within the optical industry.
Commenting about their expansion strategy, Ajay Kashikar, Director, American Vision says, “Our goal is to have one optical store for every pin code in India. And to fulfill this goal, we are working on the full fledged omni-channel strategy for rapid expansion of our business. There are over 30,000 pin codes in India and we expect to access 15,000 pin codes in the next five years’ time. Our target is to provide quality vision care that’s cost effective and convenient to the Indian society.”
American Vision is a technology driven and a branded network of optical retail stores. The brand strengthens the relationship between the consumer and the neighborhood optician by providing online convenience and quality high street experience such as home delivery, store delivery, warranty and after sales services.
So far, the brand has opened 20 stores in Pune. Going ahead, the brand’s vision is to become the largest optical network in India and is eyeing to launch – Aapka Chashmawala - On the spot spectacle dispensing centres in class – D and E towns. The brand also has plans to run hyper-local stores which will be managed by franchisees and is planning to merge its online and offline stores to provide a seamless experience to customers.
