AISECT, one of the pioneers in the field of education and skill development centres is on an aggressive expansion spree. Currently the brand has 12,000 units. The brand is planning to double the number of centres in the next three years. All of these will be franchisee-run. At present the count of its company owned units is 35. Rest all are franchise units.
Siddharth Chaturvedi, Director, AISECT says, “AISECT has partnered with National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) to skill about 1.3 million people in ten years. Apart from this, we have also partnered with the Central and State governments for several skill development and capacity building programmes. AISECT has recently collaborated with Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), Microsoft and National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT) to facilitate skill based education.”
AISECT centres offer a wide range of vocational education courses with the objective of addressing the skill gaps pertinent to the emerging needs of a rapidly growing economy. As a part of vocational training programme, AISECT has established eleven major academies, which teach through university certified undergraduate, postgraduate, certificate and diploma courses in areas like IT and Management, Hardware and Networking, Teacher Training, Telecom Skills, Retail Management, Agriculture, Insurance, Banking and Finance, Textile Training, Fire Safety and Security, Livelihood and Vocational Training and Auto Skills.
