Vinita Bali, MD, Britannia Industries has stepped down after working for nine years at the position. Varun Berry, current CEO, Nusli Wadia will succeed her.
Speaking on the development, Bali, said, "I chose to retire because I was clear that I wanted to do something different for the next 20 years. I am moving from one full-time role to fulltime many roles.”
According to a statement issued by the company, Bali will retire at the end of this fiscal year to pursue a variety of roles in the corporate and development sectors. She will continue to serve on the boards of the other Wadia Group firms such as Bombay Dyeing, Bombay Burmah Trading Corporation and Go Airlines.
