Starbucks strengthen its presence in South; opens second outlet in Hyderabad

Tata Starbucks Limited, the 50:50 joint venture between Starbucks Coffee Company and Tata Global Beverages Limited, is continuing its focused expansion efforts in South India by opening its second outlet in Hyderabad.

The outlet, located at Forum Sujana Mall in Kukatpally, promises to offer another avenue for customers to enjoy the highest quality coffeehouse experience in their neighbourhood.

With this opening, Starbucks has taken its outlet count to 61 across Mumbai, Delhi NCR, Pune, Bangalore, Chennai and Hyderabad.

“We are humbled by the way our customers have embraced the Starbucks experience across the country. The opening of the second store in Hyderabad is consistent with our long-term growth strategy to strengthen our presence in south India, extending our unique third place to more and more customers,” said, Avani Davda, CEO, Tata Starbucks Limited.

The store is spread over 1648 sq ft with a seating capacity of 55 and will be open from 10 am to 10:30 pm every day.

As part of the promise of serving as a unique third place for customers, the store will offer an extensive range of offerings, along with Starbucks signature espresso-based beverages, Starbucks VIA Ready Brew and an extensive food menu comprising of Indian and International favorites.

The store will also offer a wide range of Starbucks merchandise and free Wi-Fi, so that customers can enjoy the renowned community gathering place that Starbucks is known for.

The coffee chain entered the Indian market in October 2012 and currently operates 61 stores in India across Mumbai, Delhi NCR, Pune, Bengaluru, Chennai and Hyderabad through a network of more than 1,200 passionate partners.
