Mother Dairy frozen vegetable revenue to touch Rs 60 crore

Safal, frozen fruits and vegetable arm of Mother Dairy, is expecting a growth of 10 per cent by reaching Rs 60 crore in the current fiscal, reported PTI.

"Growth in overall frozen vegetable market is so far flat this year but with the launch of the latest frozen snacks the revenue is expected to touch Rs 60 crore," said, Pradipta Kumar Sahoo, Mother Dairy.

In 2013 end, the company reported revenue of Rs 55 crore from frozen vegetables which is expected to grow by 10 percent.

The company has also launched frozen snacks after the success of frozen vegetables offered by the brand.

“The frozen vegetables serve as alternative to fresh vegetables ensuring good quality and long durability,” added, Sahoo.

Mother Dairy Fruit and Vegetable, a wholly-owned subsidiary of National Dairy Development Board (NDDB), sells frozen vegetables under the Safal brand.

The company has 400 Safal outlets in Delhi- NCR and 30 stores in Bangalore.
