Mega Food Parks organised in Hyderabad

The Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India (Assocham) and the Ministry of Food Processing Industries (MoFPI) co-organised a national conference by the name ‘Mega Food Parks: Attracting Investments in Food Processing Sector’ in Hyderabad recently. It was inaugurated by MoFPI Secretary Siraj Hussain, who remarked that Andhra Pradesh was a land of immense opportunities for the food processing sector.

Inaugurating the event he said, “Food processing has the potential to dramatically improve the rural livelihoods by raising farm incomes through value addition in their agricultural produce.”

The national conference discussed the investment opportunities in the food processing sector and the expectations from the policy-makers focussing on identifying the priorities of target groups.
