Indian Culinary Forum to organise 11th Annual Chef Awards on 15th November

Indian Culinary Forum (ICF) is going to organise annual chef award on 15th November 2014 as part of the celebration of International Chef Day.

The award ceremony will be held at Hotel Ashok in New Delhi. As a prelude to the Awards, ICF will organize trade tests for professional chefs in various categories in Delhi from November 8.

“The competitions will be organised at Delhi Institute of Hotel Management, we will organise trade competitions in eleven categories”, said Chef Davinder Kumar, President, Indian Culinary Forum.

ICF had started with ‘Chef Summit’ an educational workshop for young chefs from the last edition of the awards. The Forum will continue with the format this year also, Chef Kumar said. “We will invite renowned speakers from the industry to share knowledge with youngsters.”

As part of preparing certified judges for culinary competitions, ICF will organize a judging seminar in partnership with the world body of chefs, WACS, in New Delhi before the trade event. Chef Rick Stephen, Director for Asia, WACS will conduct a day long ‘B-level’ judging programme for Chefs on November 7. He will also hold a ‘Glazing workshop’ on November 6 in New Delhi.
