Hindustan Unilever reported 17.87 growth for third quarter ending December 2014

Hindustan Unilever Ltd (HUL), the FMCG major in the company has reported a 17.87 per cent growth in standalone net profit at Rs 1,252.17 crore for the third quarter which ended December 2014, reported PTI.

Earlier in October-December quarter the company has reported a net profit of Rs 1,062.31 crore.

HUL's net sales climbed to Rs 7,579.18 crore in Q3, 2014-15, compared with Rs 7,037.78 crore during the same period of last fiscal, up 7.69 per cent, the company said in a BSE filing.

Meanwhile, shares of HUL were trading at Rs 893.90 per scrip on the BSE during the afternoon trade, down 5.15 per cent from its previous close.
