GourmetItup raises USD 300,000 from angel investors

GourmetItup, the restaurant reservations platform has raised USD 300,000 angel funding from a clutch of investors, including corporate executives, reports PTI.

GourmetITup which is in the business from last two years is planning to use the funds for its expansion within the country and abroad

The investors who have picked up stakes in the company include IIFL Private Wealth Management Managing Director Karan Bhagat, Nomura's Managing Director Prabhat Awasthi and Founder of Genome Capital Atul Kumar.

GourmetItup is a restaurant reservations platform with a focus on fine-dining. GourmetItUp has partnered with the best restaurants in Mumbai to design exclusive culinary experiences.

Some of the restaurant partners include Hakkasan, Yauatcha, Le Pain Quotidien, The Tasting Room.

The restaurant reservation portal is founded by serial entrepreneur Kunal Jain and food connoisseur Deepa Jain and it currently has a marketing partnership with 75 of the top restaurant brands in the country.
