Food and Wine Fiesta by Four Seasons

In order to encourage wine drinking with food and take its wine sales to the next level, the UB owned Four Seasons Wines, India’s second ranked wine company in terms of volume, has organised a Food and Wine Fiesta Pan India with multi-cuisine food paired with Four Seasons wines offered in seven cities including Delhi where the program was launched at the Olive Restaurant on August 23.

The programme will continue till September 15. The 3-5 course meals with Four Seasons wines have been priced at Rs 1000 to Rs1500 + taxes, including different wines served with different courses.

Mr. Abhay Kewadkar, Business Head Wines, UB Group, said “that the event was more about pairing food with wine. He emphasised that wine should not be treated as a drink for elite classes and should be free from pre-opinioned pairings; rather it should be according to the individual palate. He recommended however, that ‘aromas for aromas, intensity with intensity and structure with structure of food and wine should be matched to get the best out of the combinations.”

Mr. Kewadkar added, “With 90 restaurants in 7 metro cities we hope to pair food with different wines for a layman to understand the pairing better”.

Bangalore, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Delhi, and Mumbai, Pune and Goa were selected apparently in two legs where restaurants had been selected for the first-of-its-kind epicurean food & wine journey throughout these cities in India with 3/4/5 course exclusive menus, especially crafted by the chefs and paired with Four Seasons Wines from Rs.999/- to Rs.1499/-(plus taxes).

The event claims to be the first, largest and longest celebration of food and wine pairing in the country.
