Drums Food eyes Rs 100 crore revenue from yogurt brand in FY18

Drums Food International is targeting revenue of Rs 100 crore from its Greek yogurt brand Epigamia this fiscal, through increase of sales points and addition of new range of products.

The company has also lined up plans to expand its footprint in India. In the next three years it plans to sell the product through 40,000 stores as compared to 5,000 at present.

As per Rohan Mirchandani, Co-founder and CEO, Drums Food International, by the end of the year Epigamia will be retailed across 12,000 stores.

He said, "For the fiscal year ending March 2018, we are targeting revenue of Rs 100 crore."

He said recently the company has launched new range of yogurt Epigamia snack pack which is traditional Greek yogurt in four different flavours. Besides, the company is working on various variants, including savoury ones with a jalapeno flavour.

Drums Food had raised Rs 44.5 crore from various sources including Verlinvest, a Belgian consumer-focused private equity group, and DSG Consumer Partners, an early-stage venture capital firm in its latest round of funding.

Other investors in the company include Bollywood actor Kunal Kapoor and Apurva Salarpuria from the Salarpuria Group. So far it has has raised Rs 65 crore.

At present, the company has a manufacturing unit in Maharashtra and has plans to increase the number of units depending upon the response from the consumers.
