Delhi's banquet-cum-restaurant to be reopened

The city's oldest banquet hall, Sehnai banquet-cum-restaurant, which remained closed for almost seven years, is all set to reopen again with its famous Cup-and-Saucer restaurant. The banquet and restaurants were lying unused following a court case. But, now, the civic agency will be inviting tenders for the two commercial units.

After taking possession of the two commercial units, MCD had invited bid for its maintenance and management in 2011. But the civic agency didn't get good response. Now, the civic agency has decided to invite applications from entire country.

The civic agency is likely to get Rs 7 lakh and Rs 10 lakh as monthly licence fee from Cup-and Saucer and Sehnai, respectively. For a cash-strapped civic agency, this will help in boosting its revenue.
