Danone to localise products

Danone, the French dairy major is localising its products to cater to the larger Indian platter. The company has recently launched Indian food products like lassi, dahi and chaach and now plans to introduceshrikhand to its offerings.

Speaking on the new launch, Jochen Ebert, MD, Danone Dairy, Danone Foods & Beverages India, said, "We want to establish Danone as the most-preferred premium dairy brand. Hence expanding into local segments is important.”

The company has its presence in five cities across India, namely, Delhi-NCR, Mumbai, Pune, Bangalore and Hyderabad.
