Barista Lavazza deal talks fall apart

The takeover talks between India Hospitality Corporation (IHC) and coffee chain, Barista Lavazza takeover has ended without an agreement dealing a blow to Italian firm Lavazza Spa's efforts to find a buyer for the coffee chain, said an official aware of the development.

Lavazza has now constituted a new team to drive the process of selling Barista that currently operates 180 stores across the country.

Ravi Deol, Chairman, IHC, said, “We didn’t have any interest in Barista. We don't believe in the business.”
