Titan Industries aims for major expansion

The watch, jewellery and eyewear brand Titan Industries Ltd is looking at dynamic retail expansion. The aim is to double the amount of retail space both in India and internationally in Vietnam, Singapore, Malaysia, South Africa and Saudi Arabia.
Titan plans to open 225 watch and accessories stores, 55 jewellery stores and 45 eyewear stores this fiscal, via franchise and company owned stores. Currently, it has more than 827 retail outlets across 157 towns with a combined area of over one million sq. ft. Titan has a 65 per cent market share in the organised watch industry and sells watches through 9,000 multi-brand dealer outlets through 334 World of Titan stores and 106 Fastrack stores and kiosks.
The jewellery division is looking at widening its network and adding new collections while the eyewear arm will strengthen the supply chain and add new models.
