Liberty plans expansion

Liberty, a footwear brand plans to open approximately 60 stores pan India by the year 2010. These stores will be both company owned as well as franchised ones. With this the company store count will become 550 stores in 2010.
The expansion of the brand is planned for across India, with more focus on tier-II cities and towns. Liberty is also planning overseas expansion by setting up its stores in countries like South Africa, Singapore, Middle-East, and Kuala Lumpur. According to the company sources, approximately 20 out of 60 new stores will be opened through the franchise route and the rest would be company owned.
Liberty Shoes Ltd, (LSL) is an Indian shoe company, based in Karnal, Haryana. Liberty Group is the only Indian company that is among the top five manufacturers of leather footwear in the world with a turnover exceeding US $100 million.
