Kamat Hotels India Limited (KHIL) is seeking franchisees for The Orchid, an eco-friendly five-star hotel. The Orchid is an ecotel hotel with its locations in Mumbai and Pune so far. The brand plans to expand its reach to all major cities via franchise route. It targets to add 10 new properties by 2014.

The hotel is designed so as to be unobtrusive. Like The Club Privé room, an exclusive club floor with a private lounge and well-appointed business and conference centre to take care of business needs.

KHIL is engaged in the business of hospitality and allied businesses. It has four hotel brands: The Orchid, VITS, Gadh Hotels and Lotus Resorts. The company is aiming to position its hotels to the business segment in the mid to up-market category.
