Hasbro Clothing on expansion spree

Hasbro Clothing, a Chennai based men’s clothing and accessories manufacturer is planning to add 25 stores via franchising to its network by 2010-11. The company is aiming to open these stores in the tier I and II cities in southern states, apart from Maharashtra and West Bengal.
The company presently operates 50 stores, out of which 28 are franchised and the rest are company-owned outlets and has presence in more than 400 Multi Brand Outlets. The company also has stores in Sri Lanka and the Maldives, where they have a sizeable export business. Hasbro has four brands under its umbrella, which includes Basics 029, Genesis, Probase, and their newest retail offering - Basics Life.
Besides this, the company also has plans to expand overseas by launching a 1,200 sq. ft franchise store in Qatar in the next two months.
